Im no bonamassa, but....

I like muchly. Nice fluid runs and cool phrasing!

Re: Im no bonamassa, but....

Not bad at all. It felt like perhaps you needed to take a slight break in that long run just before the 50s mark, but it was all pretty tidy. The biggest thing for me though would be in the recording and mixing of it. If you can get this done on something with a better mic (and position) than an iPhone will permit, and give yourself the ability to balance off the rhythm part (lower) against the lead (higher and clearer), it should really begin to click.

Re: Im no bonamassa, but....

For me, at times, the rhythm guitar was getting in the way of the lead guitar. I would either reduce the level of the rhythm guitar in the mix, soften its high end frequencies or rethink the part. e.g. When the lead guitar is playing a lot of 16th and 32nd notes, the rhythm guitar could get away with being a simple, sustained chord for the entire bar. Alternatively, most of what the rhythm guitar provides could be implied by a well thought out bass guitar part. (Think Willie Dixon, Tommy Shannon, Dusty Hill.)

Eventually I'll get a real mic and an interface so i can really take the time to dial in the tone and parts.
