Evan's head arrived at my shop from Swanson. Packed in the most excellent manner.

Front panel is cracked in 3 places. I haven't had the heart to check the back panel yet. I'm hoping it was just the front. I"m gong to have to unscrew it and send it back to Jeff.

Bummer.:smack:

You have GOT to be kidding me? THey´re 3 for 3 on DOAs now, aren´t they??

Almost e cheaper to have a cabbie drive it over for christ´s sake....or send it per Greyhound bus.... After time is money and I´m sure you´ve wasted more than enough with these constant claims....

SO, as of now all your amps will be shipped in an ATA rated flight case for 450$ upcharge, I assume?

Re: I'm not the only one with Fed Ex problems...

Add one more to list of victims. I just sold my Laney Pro Tube combo to a guy in the Bronx.(About 45 minutes away from me on Long Island) I offer him to pick it up,But he wanted it shipped? So I sent it Fedex.:blackeye: I double boxed it, And wrote Fragile Glass and This side UP ! on the box. When he got it. It didn't work? So it bounced back to me.:smack: Apparently it had fallen on it's face and damaged the volume knob. There was a big indentation in the box right there!! And the lower metal corner protector was dangling off? All this in a 50 miles journey?

Re: I'm not the only one with Fed Ex problems...

i'm telling ya...if the box is even slightly heavy they don't even try...they just knock it on the ground and give it a drop kick right on down the line!!!

Re: I'm not the only one with Fed Ex problems...

It isn't who ships it....they'll all end up screwing you eventually.

That's just the facts...

Re: I'm not the only one with Fed Ex problems...

I just shipped my Traynor YBA-1A...please no more horror stories! It's making me really worried! I used USPS though ...they have YET to let me down...*knocks furiously on wood*

Re: I'm not the only one with Fed Ex problems...

I used to work for Fedex (not as a handler or driver), and I've been down many times in the cargo sorting/handling area, I can tell you that the conveyors are moving so fast, and that the handlers are in such a hurry, that they do not have time to read any notes on individual boxes, so it doesn't matter whether the box is small, large, light, heavy or whatever -- all boxes are treated the same; that is they get thrown in the fastest manner possible from truck to container to sorting belt to another container.

I imagine this is where the most instances of damage occur, and not with the drivers who deliver the packages to your place. The drivers have no need to mishandle packages.

If you have a very valuable item, ship it not using regular Fedex, but using Fedex Custom Critical -- they are a separate division of Fedex, and they really do take care of individual items. But it will cost you.

It maybe helpful for you to know that FedEx routes EVERY package through Memphis TN. Doesnt matter where its being shipped from or where it is to. If you knew that already, i dont feel much mercy for you.

But that's the problem, it shouldn't cost me extra to have something delivered in the same condition I sent it in! That's what I'm paying for to begin with!

Not trying to snap at you..and I'm not actually snapping at all, but it just seems silly to have a division of your company that is specialized at doing what the rest of your company should be able to do to begin with.
