because Alnico II Pro (neck) and Pearly Gates (bridge) humbuckers went into my Ibanez AF75 hollow body guitar today. They sound wonderful and allow me to crank up the gain on my Roland Boss Micro Cube RX. Before, the hum was driving me crazy and kept me from fully using all the modeling settings.

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice. You helped me make a good choice.

Amazing that you found your tone so quickly. SD's are the right family to be in.

Maybe I should ask about my 59's and their height and pole piece adjustment ... ?

A2 and PG - that's the wide-range set. Uber-fat to screamin' shriek. Jazz to Rawk. Very nice! I dig those Ibanez boxes. Those pups must totally bring out the best in that thing!

I must have a thing for the A5 magnets, but I went for the PG and '59 in one of mine and get great classic rock, modern, and blues tones out of 'em with ease. Congrats!

My only regret is that I forgot to record the guitar before and after the change, just so I could make an objective comparison. Oh well, live and learn.


P.S. I've lived all over Indiana (Gary, West Lafayette, Richmond, Culver, Bloomington, Martinsville), but now I'm hanging in southern Indianapolis.

Congrats, I have the same set and I love them. Blues, classic rock, screamin' harmonics, grit, glass, does it all. Ain't it great when a plan comes together?!
