I’m stuck at the Fender GAS Station...

Man there are some cool Fenders I’ve got serious GAS for... Apparently I’m on a Orange and Purple kick. No real reason for this thread... with two kids 3 and under I’m probably not getting anything but it’s fun to dream!

Fender Elite Stratocaster HSS in Autumn Blaze Metallic:

I gave up my Fender G.A.S. when I got into G&L in the mid-90s. But I have to admit, their Custom Shop does some nice things.

I like the orange and purple teles. Very striking. Technically I like all the ones you picked.
I would like to try an elite series, not that I could ever buy one but, fender's gone through a lot of noiseless designs and many people seem to think they are getting better at it as time passes.

I am with you on the orange and purple- great colors! It is about time Fender is doing some new colors.

I ****ing love the Johnny Marr color; would love one.

I seriously missed out on the purple Sparke Mascis; a place near me had one for years that eventually got marked down to something like $700 - But that's before people started paying dumb money for them. I was on a kick where I didn't really want another MIJ offset (I'd just be compelled to repair every bit of hardware & pickups and still be disappointed in it in several aspects and hated/still hate the Tune-O-Matic) but I had no clue the prices would balloon. Plus it's gorgeous, yeah.

Orange? JB above might not approve but I'm a Mustang man; that said, go matching headstock on a Comp. or go home:

Lots of those are real beauties.

I have a clear orange nitro G&L ASAT Classic that is just "the bomb."

Just a week or two ago, I got very, very close to buying a used orange Johnny Marr guitar. I was gonna sell the neck, wire it like a proper Jaguar, and have a new neck made to spec – all slab board vintage style, but with a heavy V profile, an ebony board and the proper "clay" dots (actually not clay, but white vulcanized fiberboard).

I decided I would prefer a slightly more red body for my Candy Apple Red Jag that I hope to have some day. I still want the faded out C.A.R. look, but not to the extreme of the Metallic KO J.M. Jag.

I'm still looking forward to whatever you do with intensity; I posted pics of my CAR in another thread last week, I go back and forth on the color but I really do like it.

Aside from the Squier version, I didn't know Fender made a J. Mascis model. What a nice guitar, though!

Those are all great choices, tbh. Personally, I'd go with the Strat.

I wonder how you decided which one, I would have a hard time. For me it would be maybe the jag, I have a strat, tele, and JM. Short scale fenders to me have a great feel (Slinky and fast!) and sound for lead (nice round attack but still clear).
Goodness though the color on that JM is stunning though. I could look at that all day every day.

Well, it was sold through Reverb with free shipping with a negotiated offer... and with work and kids I’ve got basically no time to get downtown between 10-7. I would have had to have them sit on it until the upcoming weekend, and now I’ve got it sooner.

It's a little late, but after my recent Squier VM acquisition, if you've never had a Jaguar, you really should get ahold of one.
