but what pups would sound the best for hendrix in a left handed strat. i guess this is gonna be my next project, scored a left handed large headstock strat and i want to make it into a hendrix axe, i am sorta thinkin the ssl-1 set, but i know alot of you have more experiance than me with diff pups, so let your knowledge spilleth over into this thread.

From what I understand the Alnico II Pros are closer to Jimi´s tone, but I´m no Hendrixpert

amps aside, i reckon the bulk of jimi's tone comes from the reverse stagger pickups, coil-type guitar cables, reverse headstock and of course, his fingers.

a5 singles should be close. think ssl-1s.

also, check out gfs, they just launced this.
