The more I play thru my Roland Micro cube, the more I
am thoroughly impressed by the plethera of tones you
can get outta this little puppy. I play that sucker for hours
on end because it's so easy to change your tone.
Don't have to worry about a bunch of pedals or switching
amps. This little guy has all you need for an absolute
barrel of fun practice session. For under a $100 on ebay,
you get a great little modeling amp with built in effects
that makes practicing a blast. O.K. I'm jumping down
from my soapbox. Your choice.

I agree. I'm loving mine just as much. When I was driving home with my ES-335 that I'd just had returned to me from Jol and Hamer Guitars, what amp was I planning on first plugging it into? Not my '66 Deluxe Reverb! I couldn't wait to plug that puppy into my little MicroCube and wail. :lmao: Best $100 Christmas gift I'ver ever received. I want a Cube 60 or Cube 85 now...

I've been jazzin' and playing clean blues using my Studio w/ a Duncan P-90's. I can't decide which I'm digging more, the JC120 setting with a little chorus and delay, or the blackface with some verb. Either way it's just awesomeness, with just touch of EQ change to get it in the zone!

Get a MicroCube, then a Cube 60!!

Two days ago we were recording some guitar tracks for my band's first album. We had rented a Triple Rectifier with matching cab (AMAZING amp, if you don't go for the jar of bees sound) and we couldn't finish all the solo tracks in one day, and we couldn't afford to rent it an extra day. Enter the Cube 60.

We recorded the solos with the Classic Stack and the 5150 mode. The engineer couldn't believe how good it sounded! He's a bit of a tube snob and at first repelled the idea of recording with an SS amp. Now he's slowly converting.

I have the 20X and that's all I practice through at home...I added a speaker out to mine and it sounds great into a 2x12 cab if I want to use it with the band.I Love mine!

I used to have a Micro Cube. It was enormous fun until it developed a rattle inside. Never found out what caused that. Eventually sold it.

Wait until you try the clean sound on a Micro Cube RX with some delay and chorus. It's the best JC-120 sound taht I've heard this side of a JC-120.

Yeah, buddy of mine bought a microcube when they were new and parked it by his couch. he plays all the time and just loves it.. His playing has improved 20fold. I dont think he even plugs up the old M80 anymore

Being in an 80's dance/alt band in the 80's...I dug me some JC120. Really - think about it; Roland solid state amp => flash forward 20 years. Roland puts a clean sound in a solid state amp. IMO, it IS a JC120, just in 5, 15, 30, or 60 watts!!! Some of the 120's clean mojo is undoubtedly the 90 0r 120 wats of split power and those two 12' speakers - but if you took away 100 watts and tossed a 10' in - SHAZAAM, Roland Cube!

The JC 120 is a great palette for pedals, or as a cool clean itself!

Yeah, I think Roland really nailed it on the head.
I haven't tried any of the other models, just the little
'ole Micro Cube, but they appear to be equally impressive.
Like Bloodrose said you just park it along side yer couch or
bed, whatever. Your gonna plug in because it's right there
and it's so easy. It's definitely a tremendous practice aid, my
time with six strings instead of the TV remote make me extremely
happy. Wish I bought one when they first became available.
