Important! Must Read!

Re: Important! Must Read!

Hmm, the email they put doesn't even exist...

i think they are charging 2400$ for the shipping, and 150 for the actual guitar.

nowhere does it say how much the shipping is.

Re: Important! Must Read!

WELL....nowhere does it say that it IS a PRS.....it's PRS-like!

If theyre gonna do this, im taking them down with my fellow forum members.

Re: Important! Must Read!

"It's made to PRS's uncompromising high standards and refined by their years of accumulated experience. A thicker single-cut body and special neck joint enhances lows and creates a full tone evenly spread across the spectrum. It also features uncovered zebra humbuckers, a gig-friendly tonal circuit, and the PRS tremolo system. The body is mahogany topped with maple. Abalone bird inlays decorate the rosewood fretboard. Gray/black and black have black heaqstocks in back while other colors have matching headstocks, backs, and necks. Controls include a 3-way toggle, volume, tone, and push-pull switching for coil tapping. Includes premium gig bag."

I don't know, to me, they make it sound like a PRS with that description.

That's very weird...everything else on their site (price-wise) seems legit.

Re: Important! Must Read!

nope, there are also some very strange things.

Look under Rickenbacker (however its spelled)

and under Gibson SG theres an Epi SG picture...

Re: Important! Must Read!

Re: Important! Must Read!

Here's the tip of the day:

If it sounds too good to be true....to the point where you have to ask a bunch of crackheads like us......then it's a scam!!!

SUCKS, don't it???!!!

Re: Important! Must Read!

On occasion you can get a site with a genuine mistake that they end up having to honor, but you need to know it's a trustworthy site.

Dell in New Zealand once had laptops with the wrong price on their site - they had to honor the transactions for several units before they made the correction.

Re: Important! Must Read!

They don't actually have to honor it.

This reminds me of something one of my roommates in college tried to capitalize on. He wanted to buy a longboard so that he could cruise to class a little quicker (after I told him how nice it was) and found a really nice board marked on sale for $25. I told him I couldn't believe it, those things are usually almost $300, and that he should snatch it up. So he filled out his order (also through a Yahoo! store) and got a confirmation email and everything.

The next day he gets an email from the people basically saying "oops, it should have been marked on sale for $250, would you like to go through with the order?" He wrote back saying that he thought that since they advertised that price and he "bought" it at that price, he should get it at that price or it would be "false advertising". They wrote back rather quickly telling him (in not so many words) to screw off and that they had plenty of cool customers so losing his business was not an issue, and promptly cancelled his order.
