Impulse Engines

Re: Impulse Engines

Yes, very cool indeed. I'm searching through the Red Wire catalogue now to see which cabs to grab next...decisions, decisions...

Cheers......................................... wahwah

Yeah, it's so hard to decide! They all sound unbelievable good...

Re: Impulse Engines

Yeah the Redwire's are very nice - Been using them with the AxeFX for over a year now... but you may also want to check out the Ownhammer impulse files. They are phenomenal also and I've pretty much switched over to them over the past several months - they have a different character which I really like. They haven't yet put out as many cab models as RW but the ones they have are killer.

This was recorded with the Axe using the Ownhammer impulses... I think it's kinda meaty :-) Oh yeah - and BK Coldsweats on this one also.

Omg... That was just bloody amazing man! I'll buy your record instantly. That song really made my day.

Re: Impulse Engines

Definitely check out Revalver 3.5 - they've done quite a few tweaks and there's a good selection of Peavey amps that you won't get near in any other modeler.

It also hosts other VSTs, so you can use other convolution plugins if you want (I actually prefer Revalver's RIR) and other amp sims and pedal plugins. One of my best tones is running two of LePou's sims in parallel along with one of Recabinet's IRs. (I bought Recabinet when it was just IR files.)
