In mourning... bye bye my babies...

BloodRose

Professional Scapegoat
We are moving, so finally breaking down and doing what I should have done LONG ago... Having to purge gear. Just so hard to let my babies go. Especially since the market is so bad... In the last 3 weeks, Ive sold
My Egnater tweaker head

yamaha 12 string accoustic

BC Rich Gunslinger (this was kinda special as I made it as a tribute to my deceased brother.) He had a black 68 nova fully built for street and strip. So the GS was black, chrome pup ring and duncan Crazy 8 humbucker (V8)

Charvel Model 4 (w chainsaw case and all latches)

Traben limited run bass

1990 RG570 in flip flop purple (almost mint condition)

And the one that hurts the most is my Washburn WM526. Pretty rare itself, but mine was the only one Washburn made with the Solar Flare paint

Still on the block is my Washie MG120, Washie HM24 and Squier vintage modified Tele and carvin 4x12 cab.

Wearing black today while I mourn.....

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

That sucks, dude. I'm sorry. I know your pain - I just let go of my lovely Music Man Y2D, though it wasn't for financial reasons. I just sold it to buy another guitar. But still I feel your pain. It was hard to let my guitar go.

Oh well, at the end of the day they're only things.

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

Sorry man, that sucks. But like Agile said, it's just stuff. Your family is more important.

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

Dang man! Hang on big guy, Good Times will come again.

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

Again - much like the purple ML….Should have called me. I'd have maybe "rented" one until you "un-rented" it back.

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

That's awesome! Sorry you had to let her go.

Yeah, was a very cool guitar with the carbon epoxy fretboard being smooth as glass, metal back plates, ss frets and one of a kind paint. But not only am I needing some cash flow, Im finally getting realistic too. Im simply not that good of a player to have such a herd of axes. I really only play my Charvels and my LP, so I really need to move stuff out. This one was more of a trophy. Just hard letting go. (Hardest part is probably admitting Im not worthy....)

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

wow that washburn looks cool with the blank fretboard and unique paintjob, such a shame you have to sell it man

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

I've been there so know that sad feeling well but I have to say I'm much happier now with les to worry about.

Whilst this does not surprise me it just shows there are awesome folk around!

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

Perhaps, in time you'll see this as a good thing. Often it seems, less gear=better jam time.

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

That's brutal rough man.

I had to sell my modded ktm 360 a few years back. Man i still think about how rad that bike was. It was insane to say the least.

360cc + 2stroke = fun

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

Too bad to see those go, but if I could be honest, I don't much remembering you saying how you enjoyed a play-session with any of those, great as they might have been, you weren't putting them to use so at least now you can have some use for what they sold for.

For instance, time and time again I remember you going for those 80s/90s RGs never to really gel with one like you have with your Charvels, same with your LPs, the Trad being one of your faves IIRC.

I DO understand your pain though as I too feel I should downsize but can't find one I could let go off, even if I haven't played it in almost a year...

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

I sold some of my guitars last year and actually felt pretty good about it. I figured someone should be playing them if I wasn't.

Re: In mourning... bye bye my babies...

Dang BR. I can't believe in that all the years we've been in the forum, and the same town, we've never hooked up. But if I understand it, you aren't moving that far away. Maybe a leetle road trip is in my future.

Need any help moving? I've got a truck.
