In praise of Xotic pedals EP booster

So, while I was trying the Plexi yesterday (or rather, the 1987X head), the owner of the shop said, check this out. He brought over a small (about the size of a one spot adapter) pedal with one dial. It was an Exotic EP booster. The way it was explained is that it is basically the preamp side of an echo plex. It is a beautiful boost. The plexi sounded great without and , well not better with but just it added an extra dimension to the sound. For $116 it is a pretty awsome buy. Good demos at

I've been looking in getting some booster or buffer for my pedal board, its kinda up in the air between the ep booster or the fulltone fat boost
