Thank ya thank ya....:biglaugh: but the neck pos. is actually a hot rails humbucker...it's hard to tell in that pic I know.

Re: In the design stage.

I think it'd look more stylish if you made it have a slanted "rear" like the one ESP horizon style guitar. The headstock reminds me of a dragon, lol. And the Fedex body is cool but probably really uncomfortable, haha.

Check the top/first pic....in the top left hand corner...what do you see? A floyd rose bridge!! But its not for me....

Re: In the design stage.

I think everything should be Floyded, hell I'd floyd my **** if I could handle the piercings for the springs!

Re: In the design stage.

OK, how about this? Not good pics had to use cell phone (sorry) but I think you can get the ideal of the change. Do not want it to look like any other guitars know to man kind.

Re: In the design stage.

I find a certain disbalance with the first design. The horns are too long and I think they don't start deep enough in the body, if you see what I mean. I think the 2nd one is better.

I LOVE the Ken Lawrence headstock, and I will use it on soimething for myself on eday...Im not 100% sure how I feel about the body shape. As for the pickups...I LOVE the H/H/S/ set up! I know it's a hot rail, but still...I have kicked around the idea of an H/H/S a few times.

What kind of wood etc are you gonna use?

It looks like the neck is a hit Brian....

AWESOME!!!
is that guy by anychange on the ESP forum???
No but he is briand on this forum....and thanks, but do you like the first or second one, or both?

The body is going to be mahogany (most likely african for those who care), with a translucent finish...lookin like a cherry color at the moment with some black highlights under it. I am thinkin blues trembucker/screamin demon/hot rails for pu config.

Re: In the design stage.

that sounds like an awesome pick-up configuration!

I do like the 2nd design more, very original, yet practical, and just plain awesome!

Rock On :headbang:

Re: In the design stage.

The horns should be a little more straty, as for the H/H/S, thats not all that new, ESP made a guitar like that, its worth a fortune if you can ever find one tho.

Slant the neck singlecoil tho, seriously, it'll help alot.

Use 2xBill Lawence L500XL's and put a strat® Hot stack in the neck. (Might as well be able to have some cleans eh? All thoes rails would look insane)

And it has to be black. :P

Ok, The first guitar has the normal cut pattern at the body except the top horn is a bet shallower then the norm for cosmetic reasons. What is throwing you off is the distance between the tip of the horn to the edge of the neck it is almost twice the distance as norm. This is making the curve line from the tip of one horn down to the neck pocket and then up to the tip of the other horn look shallow.

I think with a 45* edge cut around the body would make it look very edge like some type of weapon.

Re: In the design stage.

I like both designs.
I like the second one better. The pointer, the better!
Still needs a Floyd
+1 on the Lawrence pickups 500XL bridge 500L middle L220 in the neck! ROCK ON!

Yep, it is a Kenneth Lawrence neck and it is a very good neck. It is usually lying in a pile of scrap wood. I use it for a mock up neck. I have thought about trimming it around the arrow looking thing so it looks like a spear.

Steph has now taken a hold of it so I guess I will have to get another mock up neck.
