Just playing, I was thinking more like this. The Baby-Grand would look killer on her guitar and it would go with the feminine look. Where as the Floyd Rose has that monster look and feel to it. Just my opinion 9Finger.
aight 9, here is the rough draft sketch for your new design. Take your time and look it over, I know I don't have to tell you to let me know what ya think. The design is with 2 humbuckers, in bridge and neck positions with the floyd. It is scaled out to bass body dimensions: 21" L x 14 1/2" W. The two squares outlined on the paper are guitar size and bass size for reference points. I do not know if it is to a "V" guitar scale because I don't have those actual dims. The headstock is just a quick rough draft of your photoshopped one and its close to scale with the base 4 1/4" wide and top 2 1/8" wide. I just threw in the toggle switch and 3 knobs just for mockup purposes and the round hole at the bottom horn tip is for the jack.
Steph, here is your final guitar body design. The shooting star has a few touch up issues but is basically done. I included some better pictures of the stains I played with.
Here is Steph goofing around with my strat, don't pay any attention to her left hand she actually loves us all....
You're right, I was bound to mess w/ it a bit. I think it needs to be more pointy, so I modified it. I want to keep the King V vibe but more evil to match the headstock. You'll see what I mean...
Here is a pic of the rough sawn mahoghany for my guitar body;
It is on its way (or should have gotten there today hopefully, I haven't heard) to be joined and planed. I am sooo excited, I cannot wait to see what it looks like and hold it my little hands
