In the design stage.

Re: In the design stage.

Ah... Good thinking.

Just one thing., no possiblility of going with a single coil in the neck? Or at least a noiseless? I think that would just be cool.

LSP, I was just playing. That setup would be to much for her right now. I will go with something simple. Probably for right now I will install a master vol and three, on/off/on toggles to turn pup on and off. I will use the on/off/on just for later upgrades to it.
What he said....
Seriously, I feel like a newly licensed 16 year old driver getting to pick out a Lamborghini...I have no idea what this guitar will really sound like let alone how to wire it....I am just going to have to test drive it, and tweak things as I learn. I can't wait :biglaugh:

mine should be done at the end of the year :D

but yea.. that's the initial aproach. dont start with the big adjustments, cos you're more thank likely to screw up. learn and apply in smal doses for the final kickass product

:feedback: Why would do you think that would be better than what I chose? Anything is possible...

Re: In the design stage.

Dunno, personally I just like a single for the neck and if your going with two full blown hb's in the lead and mid position it would make sense, to me that is.

Opinion not based on any preconceptions or heard this or that. Just an opinion.

But what made you chose a single (the route any way)? Aesthetics? Do you like mini hb's? Just curious, either way I'm sure it's gonna kick massive amounts of @$$

I just loved the way they sounded in the positions I picked....I know that there are lots of extraneous variables that are going to affect the way these pickups sound in the real world as opposed to the test studio, but I had to start somewhere. So this is what I chose :)

Re: In the design stage.

9finger that is just a paper weight and that means you are out of date and you guitars just dropped in price by 1/2.

Welcome to 2006.

Re: In the design stage.

What is that thing? I can read Floyd Rose but... what about the... and the... What is that, can you provide some info? Sure looks cool and I don't even like floyds (looks, feel, operation you name it)

Re: In the design stage.

That would be one of the new Floyd Rose Speedloader bridges. In fact, I do believe that that one is a prototype that was sold on Ebay not to long ago.

True, I might be out of date, but I'll take a bridge that lets me choose my own string maker. Those speedloaders only have one kind of strings to choose from. This is probably why they haven't caught on yet and very very few people are using them.

Re: In the design stage.

It is still BAD@SS!! I fell in love with it when I saw it....but it is a prototype and not available.

Re: In the design stage.

Been over to their site. FR makes guitars? when did that happen? May sound good but seem odd (and not in a good way).

Too bad about the string thing. The one pictured above would be solid (as in without vibrato), right? That would be cool.

Re: In the design stage.

Yeah bro, that's the fixed bridge model. They still have those available as well, but I don't think they look like that now.

Floyd Rose starting making guitars again when they introduced the speedloader bridges. From what I hear, they are pretty dam good(bridge & guitar in general)

But it's a dam shame that the only strings you can use are the ones from Floyd Rose. I heard that Daddario may start making some, but I'm not sure if that's true or not.

Yep, 9finger is the GOD of the Floyd Rose. Thought I had him on this one. It was on Ebay and the guy got it for $240.00.

As I was reading this I was imaging Pinhead saying it in that freaked out voice and giving me the bird at the same time. Gave me Goosebumps! More, more, I want more!

I personally don’t care for the Floyd myself (past experience) but if someone wanted me to build one with a Floyd I would.

Re: In the design stage.

Oh, I forgot to put a pic of the prototype guitar it was going on. From what I have read the sample guitar coast around $21k.

9 Finger, I acutely laughed out load on this one. I give you three Floyd Rose points on that one and one point for putting up with my disturbing humor.

Re: In the design stage.

9Finger, I have just come up with a guitar body design and headstock for you. Where is my dang pencil? I bet Steph stole my pencil and that was my mojo pencil.
