ha! not my shot but this is it a Carlo Robelli 8. For those unfamiliar it is Sam Ash's house brand. They've done some cool things over the years, lot of crap too but this thing seems pretty solid. Looks enough like a Hamer to me anyway
Pretty cool. My buddy has the same one for years and it's held up well. Don't think the guy ever played this thing. Lowered the action a bit but need to do the intonation, it's a little all over the place (individual saddles). Brass nut, active EQ and it's actually a lot more gold looking in person.

Nice. In high school I played in a power trio and I seriously considered getting an 8 string bass to fill out the sound a bit.

It's a little more like steering a boat than a sportscar but mostly it is just getting used to the size of the neck, sounded great though. The drummer and guitarist were pretty psyched so that is a great sign, very comfortable too which is good. No complaints at all.
The pickup and electronics do a pretty good job mimicking a Music Man but I imagine like all things I will eventually put the SD MM pickup in and upgrade the electronics.
