Incoming!!!

Re: Incoming!!!

I have always liked Kramer's use of mini toggle switches. They do much but don't muck up the look of the guitar.

Re: Incoming!!!

For me, I prefer the blade style switch in this pickup configuration. But I do see the appeal of the 3 mini-toggles. I had a cheap Jackson copy (Series 10 or Pro Player) back in the early 90's with that same setup.

Re: Incoming!!!

Depends what kind of switches. If they are on/off, it'll just be an on/off for each pickup, which is how I believe they came stock. Those neck/middle pickups aren't stock. That model came with SSL-1's in the neck and middle and a JB in the bridge.

Re: Incoming!!!

Yep; I figured stock would be a pair of APS1 and a JB. They used SSL1? Hoping they swapped the switches at time of pickup swap.

Re: Incoming!!!

Thanks! Looking forward to it arriving. First Kramer I bought was a F3000 Mutt with a Maple Board BC Rich Outlaw Neck and one angled hum pickguard in Candy Blue. Always liked that color.

Re: Incoming!!!

I'm hearing this one is a bit unusual as it's Claw Neck is 24 Frets rather than the usual 22. Anyone run across a Vintage Kramer 24 Fret Vintage Kramer Neck previously?

Re: Incoming!!!

That is a bit unusual having 24frets, but it appears to be original because of how close the pickups are to each other, which I do believe came with APS-1s and a JB. That what my Pacer Deluxe had stock as well.
That blue is really nice isn't it?
You've been on a roll this year with the Kramers! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

Re: Incoming!!!

Mos definitely unusual. As stated it's my favorite Kramer Color. Blue Green really and, although it's not a Flip/Flop, it does look quite different as to how "Blue" or "Green" it appears depending on lighting and angle. It may be an old Fire Sale Build from when Kramer went bankrupt or some thing Kramer pushed out the door in 1990 before the went belly up. I'll never know. ;)

I have seen some NOS Kramer Bodies on eBay that require a 24 Fret Neck but this is the first 24 Fret Neck I've seen and it's a Claw Neck to boot. Arrives tomorrow so I'll see how lucky I am if it arrives safely.

Re: Incoming!!!

Extremely difficult to capture the true Candy Blue color but the last photo is most representative of it.
