INCOMING!!!!!

yeah, amp eq can only go so far. especially depending on your amp. many of my old fenders only have a tone knob, or treble and bass, so the guitar needs to be tuned for the inherent eq of the amp. with a full passive eq, i dont think id get along with a light, asymmetrical wind, a5 bridge pup

I use a Dual Terror for most gigs, it only has a tone knob. It works quite well for me but it can't make up for that kind of difference, none of my amps these days have active EQ. I probably should grab an EQ pedal of some sort but I really don't have much need for one.

It is all good, buffed the gold off a pair of DA59's last night and dropped them in. 8.7 neck, 8.8 bridge they are really magnificent pickups. 3D sounding compared to the stock 60's BBs. The BBs are more like T-Tops, nothing wrong with them but they don't quite fit me

What's it like to play there? Like a typical club?

In some ways I guess. It is a dinner club, table seating with standing for overflow and a big bar. Great stage/sound system, the soundman is first rate and super cool, he is H&O's soundman fwiw. Backstage is cool and they treat you like pros. Excellent backline if you want to use it, Fuchs guitar and bass amps. I might try the Fuchs next time for shits and giggles.

We do a 90 minute set more or less when we are there, kickoff a little after 8 maybe 815 or so.
