Inline Machine heads ( tuning pegs )

Anyone know where you can get them for a guitar? I can only find banjo or ukulele ones. I'm looking for a machine head where the key and post are all inline ( vertical ) as opposed to the 90 degree configuration.
Could banjo pegs work for a guitar? I am assuming no, unless modified.

You mean like they have on Firebirds? Just look up "Firebird tuners" on Google and you should be able to find some.

You mean the Steinberger gearless tuners. You can find them used, or as pulls on reverb or ebay, but your going to pay out the butt.

I think that some banjo tuners will fit in the headstock holes but I think that the gear ratio is really low, like 4:1 or 6:1. Decent ones aren't cheap either and they come in sets of 4.

There was a guy on etsy selling some machines that he custom makes. I think they were $100 per set of 6. Very industrial looking but kind of cool. You could try searching Etsy to see if he is still there. I didn't keep the link.
