Install a Hot Rails in a Strat

Im trying to install my Hot rails pickup (bridge position) into my squire strat. The original pickup had two wires coming from it...The white went to the pickup selector switch, and the black went to the volume pot. My new hot rails has 4 Wires: RED, WHITE, BLACK, GREEN. I assume the black wires goes back to the volume pot since it is the hot wire. The green I assume is a ground...where does the ground go? I have no idea about the red and white, I saw a section of the site that has a "color code", and said that the red and white wires should be soldered together and taped in electrical tape...(is that right?). So if i have this right I have the green, and black i need to deal with. If black is hot (volume pot) and green is ground (have no clue where goes) then what wire goes to the pickup selector switch. Please reply if you know whats up on this subject, I can't stand having my guitar in pieces....Sorry for my ignorance....and thank you in advance for the help.

red and white...solder together and tape, connecting to nothing but eachother.

green and bare wire...solder together and ground to the back of the pot

black...where the old black was.

Okay, so which pot do i solder the grounds too? And the black just has to go on the pickup selector, and not the volume pot?

It shouldnt matter because they should all be grounded but usually the volume pot is closest and that where your previous pu was wired too .Usually the black goes right to the selector where the other one was and there is another wire going from the selector to the volume pot.
