Installation questions: Gibson deluxe to Grover 135N tuning keys

So little while back started having issues with the factory Gibson deluxe tuning keys coming loose when changing strings, tuning up, etc. So not long ago I bought a brand new set of Chrome Grover 135N Die-Cast Vintage 14:1 Ratio tuners. Hole Size: .391 = 25/64 to replace the factory Gibson Deluxe tuners on my 1998 Gibson les paul special. I was going to attempt to install them instead of taking the guitar to my tech, from what I've read on other forums I've had guys say these are a direct replacement and the tuning key holes shouldn't need to be enlarged. Is this true?

Yes. The Grover 135 is a direct replacement.

Be aware, however, that the 135N is Nickel plated whereas the stock Gibson hardware on the LP Junior Special is Chrome plated.

Hey thanks! You replied in a couple of my other threads :) you had recommended trying drop B tuning again with my LP special again before swapping out the bridge dimarzio super distortion p90 and factory neck Gibson p100. I got a set of d'addario exl117 .011-.056 I was going to use

Probably best to either PM me or bump the other thread.
