Installed Custom P90 bridge pickup in Epi SG neck by mistake

And it sound great there. The neck sounds OK in the bridge position but I think I'm gonna get another bridge P90 and put it there maybe stick the left over neck pickup in a Telecaster. Amazes me how goof ups sometimes turn out for the better I can't count the times that I was playing a backing part or a solo and messed up into something better.

I have the Custom neck in the bridge of my Jr, works pretty well

i like the custom neck in the bridge but if you have the bridge in the neck its gonna over power the neck in the bridge so balance will be hard

You may just have to balance with pickup height, but it could work. I would compare it to the neck pickup, to see which one you like better in the neck.

The Lil 59N is by far the best bridge bladebucker Duncan makes IMHO! I found that out by accident as well, one day I put a Strat guard together with a bunch of parts I had laying around. I had a neck and middle SSL-1 but no free bridge pickups so I just used a Lil 59 that was sitting in my bag of bits? That guard sat in a box unused for over a year and then one day I decided to try it, Holy cow was I blown away!!!

The STRATOCASTER that I put it into had a Lil 59B & some Antiquity Surfers in the middle and neck slots but I had sold it. My original intention was to turn it into a H/H Strat so I bought myself a TB-PG/PGN set with the money I had gotten for the Lil 59B/Antiquity guard? There was about a week wait for the Pearly Gates so I figured I'd toss the parts guard in until my humbuckers arrived?

I never even tried the Pearly Gates.... That guard has been in that Strat ever since!!! I have absolutely no plans on changing it anytime soon & I think it might be the longest that I've ever kept a guard the way it was? Gotta love Happy accidents!!!!
