Iiiiiii almost conceded defeat on this one but i would still rather have a KAOSS pad on my amp or mic stand, if only for the flexibility of using it with different.

The only effect I'd ever put inside a guitar would be some kind of active EQ (mid boost, etc.)

I prefer to be able to use my effects with any of my guitars, rather than limit them to one.

I recently acquired a very cheap EQ pedal and have had strange thoughts about mounting it inside one of my guitars. I think having a six band EQ built in would be pretty amazing. Any thoughts?

I'd only do it to a Strat. You can hack the pickguard up and if you don't like the EQ/FX get a new pickguard for $20- No guitar damage.
