Re: Installing New Pickups Assistance Needed

Unless you were planning a coil split, its the Same as 3 single coils

Yer that will split the humbuck thats what i am trying to achive
otherwise i wouldnt need the push pull tone

Re: Installing New Pickups Assistance Needed

There should be a coil split diagram in Seymour's wiring page.

Re: Installing New Pickups Assistance Needed

bridge humbucking is
black to hot
green to ground and
red and white linked (series).
to split connect red and white to middle lug of push pull switch part and another wire from top or bottom pin of switch to ground.
(2 rows of 3 pins both do the same, middle connects to top or bottom, depending on switch up or down).
when switch not engaged red and white connected only to each other meaning normal series humbucker.
when switch engaged all red, white and green are going to ground, meaning only the coil that starts with black and ends with white will give a signal (split to slug coil).
Good luck

Thank you for that
Ill try digest that
this is first wiring job
i Think i understand its only the humbucker being split is that correct

Thanks but there is a problem
That's for split volume I have split tone
That's standard wiring
I had red and black coming from humbucker
But that's washburn wiring
I have soldering today Im guessing its just red and white

Because green and bare are earth
Black goes to 5 way
Do you recon the wires would go same place on the push pull volume shown in the diagram for a tone version

Re: Installing New Pickups Assistance Needed

Yes,

You just put the split wiring part and solder it to the lugs on whichever pot has the push-pull.

If you've got seymour duncan pickups going in then you need to follow the SD wiring scheme.
