Installing new pots on LP; need advice

I'm installing new 500K CTS pots onto my Les Paul. 2 of them measure about 505K and the other 2 measure about 535K.

Is there an optimum position (volume or tone) for the pots based on their measurements?

I was going to install the 505K pots in the volume position but I wanted to check here first from those who've messed with pot values.

BTW, my pickups are Seths.

I am no expert on pots, but with values that close, I don't think it will matter. IME, 500Ks don't sound good in the bridge position. If you have 300Ks there, I'd leave them be.

Those values are pretty close you won't notice a difference I'd bet.....I'd probably put the higher value as volume, the lower as tone.........or...put the two higher value pots as volume and tone for the neck pickup and the lower on the bridge.......might give the neck pickup a little more presence and cut.

There's no way to hear a 10% difference in a volume pot.

I don't often say "there's no way to hear" but here I do.
