Howdy all.
I recently purchased a Les Paul Deluxe. Sweet axe, but I'm not wild about the mini-hums. I have a sert of Duncan Vintage P-90s I want to put in.
I know the pup routes are the same size, my question is how to mount them.
I haven't opened up the Deluxe yet - I know my Les Paul Special has little metal threaded inserts in the pickup cavity that the P-90mounting screws go in. Does a Deluxe have these inserts? If not, can I screw directly in the wood or should I take it to a shop to have the inserts installed. I's a nice guitar, so I don't want to f it up.
