I'm trying to do a series/split but I would like to know if I can do it in a on/on spst, insted of a on/off/on. Is this posible.

Do I connect them to the switch together with the black one.

The red and white wire go together, and to one lug of the switch. The "other" lug of the switch goes to ground, (or the green wire), if you want the stud coil active. Connect it to the black wire if you want the adjustable coil active.
