Interesting pick up question ?

I have just become the proud owner of a Gibson Les Paul Studio, A 2014 model. It carries the Gibson Humbucker models 490R and 490T. Some of you may be familiar with them. If you are, the interesting thing here is the fact that several months ago I purchased a set of SD Antiquitys ( which I love by the way ) for an Ibanez semi hollow body that I have. The thought has come to me that maybe I should put the SD Antiquitys on the Les Paul.
What do you think?

Sounds good. The question is what do you want achieve by putting them in there?

Re: Interesting pick up question ?

Well, there are a whole lot worse you can do than the Antiquities, which are about my favorite (along with the Seths) for LPs. You should have an amazing sounding LP though...if you go that route, report back on the sound, or better yet, let's hear it!

Re: Interesting pick up question ?

if you love the sound of the Antiquities, they will sound great in a LP! (congrats on the new axe by the way!!) Lots of guys here run ants in LPs with great results!

Re: Interesting pick up question ?

Thanks guys for the replies and my really late response. Had issues logging in. Admin resolved the problem last night.
I guess in the end I'll have to weigh the pros and cons of making that switch. The one certainty I have is that the Antiquity's sound excellent in the semi hollow body.
I don't know how the Gibson 490's will react to it.
