(but then if you're not looping it through the strap, you're doing it wrong)

Could also be good for pedals, I think. Might cut down on disappearing patch cables when you're not looking.


Would not recommend using for an amp unless it's bolted down. Dark stage, snarky cable, Marshall does a face-plant. Not good.

I wonder if this could be combined with those magnetic breakaway plugs?

I think a weak link somewhere between guitar and amp might not be a bad idea. I'd prefer a jack disconnecting rather than me tripping on stage or pulling an amp over.


And yeah ... it happens. The most common for me, although still infrequently, is the guitar cable pulling out of the first pedal on the pedal board - deafening silence.

Seems the screw-on jack would be a benefit there, then.
