So a quick question to everyone about wiring up the "tele" I'm making in my strat.
I was going to wire it up with 2 knobs (vol/tone) and a 4 way tele stich to do neck/series./parallel/bridge.
I was also going to make both knobs push/pull with one being a coil tap on the bridge pickup, and one that I needed to ask about.
I have a humbucker coming for the bridge, and I was thinking about "tapping" it, but I don't think I want it to be a total tap (although I may when it shows up). So, as I don't want to go to three knobs, and I woulnd;t mind keeping the tone control (so not just a tone/split knob) I was wondering about some kind of internal trimpot that I could set where I liked, then leave it and push-pull it into the circuit. I tend to just have a few positions that I always use, so I don't think I'd be loosing much by setting it to a sweet spot and leaving it. I want things simple to use, but I don't mind the extra work in setting up.
Is this even possible or a good idea? Any ideas Where I could find an appropriate trimpot?
Thanks
