Internal trim pot - which one/type and how to mount inside control cavity

I want to try an internal trim pot to serve as a spin-a-split control... so i know specs wise, i want 50K resistance and linear taper.

but i need help in determining what kind of "shape" to buy and how would i mount this inside my guitar's control cavity. I am going to "set it and forget it" so i want to keep it inside the cavity only - no drill hole for external access.

The variety of shapes and types on Mouser.com quickly overwhelmed me - here are a few examples of what i saw.

So, what type/shape do i want, and how do i mount it inside the control cavity?

Just get a sealed one. I got a 3 pack for a couple dollars.

IME, they are so lightweight that you can just sort of leave them suspended.

you can affix it with tape or let it hand off the wires. I use shrink wrap so there’s no leads exposed to touch.
