Dropped by my old shop to see a couple of old friends yesterday and noticed a Anvil Flight case with CARVIN stenciled on it on the shelf. Opened it and inside was a one year only Carvin X50 EL34 powered Series B Hot Rod mod head priced at $250 for the set up. Dropped it on layaway on the spot and should bring it home next week. One year only head in 1991 and these things are flat MONSTERS!!
I owned a 100 watt version of this one years ago and should have never sold it!!
Here is a live clip with my old 100 watt Series B Hot Rod Mod X100B. https://www.soundclick.com/html5/v4/player.cfm?songID=4862091
Found this one on Youtube of a 50 super rare amps!

Re: Intersting Pawn Shop amp find

I think mine was the combo version of the X100B. It came stock with 6L6's and it was a killer amp. I think that the filter caps we getting old because it never had as tight as I bass sound as I know it should have. At some point a resistor fried so I pulled the amp out of the cabinet and turned it into a closed back 2x12.
Sounds like a killer deal for $250.
