Introducing the Polaron

Re: Introducing the Polaron

Sounds great to me! I love phasers, too. I use a pretty basic EH one, but this sounds amazing.

Re: Introducing the Polaron

Phaser is the only flavor of swirl I don't have. I had an ancient musictronics phasor II long ago. Got it for like 20 bucks along with an electric mistress. That pair was just the best.

Re: Introducing the Polaron

Phasing is my favorite effect, the presets look like they make sense, and I really like the envelop filter mode idea.

But man, I'd trade the 6, 8, 10, and 16 stage modes for something that does a passable uni-vibe sound instead. The higher stage phaser settings never seem to work for the music I make. Just have one more click where you use capacitor values off by a factor of 10 for each stage instead of all stages being the same and you would be gold.

Well, I would like to buy one, but I think they need to correct the website, as I am sure it is $222.85, not $22,885. I'm just saying.....

Re: Introducing the Polaron

It sounds great. It's probably too much of a phaser for me. I currently use a TC Electronic Blood Moon phaser, set with the controls all the way down, for some subtle movement. But there are some inspirational sounds in the Polaron for sure.

Re: Introducing the Polaron

Lots of great demo videos so far since its release. A really good rundown on how it actually works as well.

Re: Introducing the Polaron

The more demos I've seen, the more I like the pseudo talk-box sounds coming out of it...

Re: Introducing the Polaron

I think the talk box sounds come from the envelope-generated mode. You control the sweep of the phaser with picking dynamics.
