What, exactly, is the problem?

Does the amp sound like crap? Is there a volume loss or something?
What results are you talking about?

As long as you didn't keep the OHMs set wrong the whole time you had your head, then your amp should be okay.
I've done this before by accident, but my amp works fine still.

+1.
I'd helped a friend of mine to swap pups for his RG320. The wood of RG320 doesn't seem to go well with any high output pup. So if you stick to your invader, try roll back the volume on the guitar a little bit. If you want to exchange for another Duncan, maybe JB will be OK (if it suits your music style). I haven't experienced with Full shred and Dime so I donno. EMGs will be fine too, since they're generally less affected by the wood. However, I'm afraid that EMG85 may sound muddy too.

It's probably agathis. I don't have any agathis guitars, but it's a pine that I've heard is similar tonally to agathis.

Re: invader in ibanez

i had the pickup checked and it is installed properly, the guy actually said my friend did a good job lol ...i just think the invader isnt giving me the tone i want from my amp and from my guitar in drop B(maybe the EMGs will help) ...it just sounds loud and piercing and there is like no cruch on it, if i try turning the gain up all i get is feedback and i cant tell when i change a chord... i was saving for a new guitar (i cant stop buying) but i might save that money to put new tubes in there, i think there are 6L6's in there but i might want EL34's ...im not sure i think i have to do research... its hard to describe but the tone i want is full and rich with enough crunch to make you bang your head (i hate saying it this way but i need a metal tone, like slipknot but maybe not so muddy) not sharp and loud ...im still learning about EQ and everything and i know my description of the tone i want isnt very good but its the best way i can say it ...oh uh and im sorry if im frustrating anyone lol, im still learning, only been playing a year and a half... thanks again for advice and comments, rock on!

That is what the Invader does in a dropped tuned guitar. Thats the same experience I had with one in C#. I would get a pickup that is really defined and focused and has more treble and mid than bass. I would get a full Shred, a Scremin Demon, or maybe a JB. The full Shred would be my first choice.
