Two batteries won't fit in the electronics area. Would there be a problem of putting them in the trem spring compartment? He plans on blocking the trem.

It will probally work. Might have to move a spring or 2 but, you could probally pull it off. I would go ahead and test it out before ordering.

Also, if you may have a luthier or good guitar tech around, they could install a battery box in that guitar.

There are not hard to install if you have a router, the template, and a flush trim bit.
