Can the giant hex screws on the Invader be swapped out with regular screws to give it a more traditional look? And if so, how would it change the tone? I was thinking of one under a chrome cover.

The screws play a large part in the massive tone of the Invader.
You can't replace them with other screws because the holes are too large.

I will actually try it out in a Les Paul that I have an Invader in now (in the bridge) and compare before and after. I will record both clips and I am betting the tone will be there probably more defined actually we will see. I won't be able to get all that done till later this week though. Stay tuned...
