Invader

Re: Invader

i have a Fender Strat i want to play Harder Rock Music on. Would the Invader be a good Humbucker for the Bridge? if so, what other 2 pickups could i put in it to make it a versitile, yet hard rock guitar? The Fender sounds so dinky for the music im playing compared to my Custom 24, that guitar doesnt need changes whatsoever

Re: Invader

Schecter7,
Yes, the invader would be a good choice for hard rock. An example of someone that uses one in a strat is Tom Delonge. Synister Gates of Avenged Sevenfold uses them in his C1FR . That is a good example that it can do leads too.

Re: Invader

metal mike from halford's band and painmuseum uses invaders sometimes too (the SD artist directory says so) though his main pickup is the JB

Re: Invader

If the Invader turns out to be too heavy for your tastes, before yanking it out, try just backing it off from the strings a bit -- that will mellow it and sweeten the top end some.

Re: Invader

Hey Bloodrose; I'm fairly sure you're asking about a bridge pup, but my Patriot is about to go down for a major overhaul. If you want to borrow my Distortion neck for awhile, let me know. I could mail it to you, or we could meet up over at Don's Music or GC or something.

Let me know.
Artie
