Is a full shred ntst to have in a strat w/maple board?

I'm looking into a strat, alder body, maple board. I like the FS for articulation and scooped mids. Is it nuts to put one of those in a strat bridge? Too bright? Is there anything else you would recommend? I haven't been up on the newer Duncans. I like to hear the notes in a chord under distortion. Do i need f spacing for a strat?

It's an awesome sound if that's what you're going for.

I think that's a good idea with respect to a focus on clarity; and might as well go with F-spacing, but it's mostly cosmetic.

Strat bridge position? Most certainly get the Trembucker (F-spaced) version of it

If you don't, you'll be very sad to find that at least 1 of the pole pieces will be completely misaligned with the strings

Check out the Blues Saraceno PATB-3.

You definitely wouldn't want the Distortion PATB-2 for what you describe. It is a wooly monster!

You'd need the Trembucker version for a Strat. The FS would be too bright for me, especially on a maple neck strat, but for some music, it might be great. Also, some guitarists are not sensitive to high end like I am, so it might be fine. It just isn't a sound I could use.

I'm going to try a ceramic magnet in it. I've heard that sounds more like a Custom with better articulation and bit more high end. We'll see.
