Is anybody playing an Edwards?

I kinda like this. Seems pretty decently spec'd too. Gotoh hardware, ESP Japanese finish.

Seems pretty decent. Any of you guys playing one? How would you rate them compared to similarly-priced Gibsons? They're kinda in the Tribute range, right? Or maybe Studio?

What's the neck profile like? Gibson 50's? 60's?

Looks like much like Epiphone, Edwards (and all the Asian copies) don't get the spacing between the bridge and the bridge pickup right. :(

I dont own one but picked up a used Edwards Explorer my local shop had in, the guitar was incredibly light, esp for the size, acoustically resonated great.

What the previous owner had done to it, left it a bit on wtf side. They had replaced the pickguard with something I can be compare to is very thin but slightly harder foamcore, as in you could indent the material with a thumb nail. Also looked like it was cut with a dull boxcutter. There were a few other things that they had done that turned me off.

If I had the $$ at rhe time, I may have bought it and redid it correctly as it felt great in hand

Does NOT say Gibson, therefore legal.

Never said anything about legality.
And i believe Gibson would have a problem with your concept of what legal but i don't care im no Gibson fanboi.
Custom / Import fees seem to be luck of the draw some have to pay / some not.
None of the "lawsuit" era Japan LP's said Gibson either 45 years ago but they got the piss sued out of em.
