wow this has gone in a different direction than wat i expected fter the frist post. i thought for sure that it was only really a comparison of fender guitars but now i guess anything goes. on well it is still a tele for me, has been and will be for a long time

see? mrf understands me, i never intended for it to go in this direction, and i'm not all that happy about it, but nonetheless

and yes, j5 used to be sponsored by ibanez, but then he switched to fender, he used LPs with marylin manson but on Vertigo he used teles pretty exclusively. Go to his site, click the link that shows the gear he used in the studio, theres litterally like every tele imaginable

Actually any money I've made from mods lately has been paying my bills while I'm not working....I've yet to receive my first short term disability check from our insurance company..When that money shows up,I could probably at least get 1 RIC and a 2x12 cab? :smack: :laugh2:

Man, these insurance cies are always a hassle to deal with...

I'm going to redirect back to the original. I always thought that the Les Paul was the definitive rock guitar. Hell knows I've owned enough of them. I don't like that tin like whiney stuff comming out of the way a lot of players set their Strats (who ever let Robert Cray on stage with a tone like that ?). I play 99% blues with lots of punch, and I think the Tele is the best thing going. I replaced my LP with one. Mine has a tele hot stack bridge and I wouldn't trade it for the world
