Re: Is it possible to make a 22 fret Gibson V a 24 fret?
you'd have to get the math right on fret placement and man, they'd be tight together on a gibson scale length fretboard ... but i cant imagine being happy with an aftermarket hack job of the neck and pickup cavity
i bet it would be a pricey mod to have a luthier craft a whole new neck from scratch with 24 frets and the desired scale length, then unglue the existing neck and attach the new one
if it was a bolt neck and you could get a replacement neck that adds the frets, that'd be one thing ...
also, you say that you like the feel of the gibson - you might be liking the feel of the shorter scale length ... that schecter V has a 25.5" scale length - thats gonna make room for the extra 2 frets but will definitely change the feel
save up for a new guitar that is exactly what you want
good luck
