I am wondering if it is possible to replace the tolex covering on an amp or a cabinet? If it can be done, how does one remove the old stuff and how would one put new Tolex back on or is there a good place to find out how to do so.

Yeah...it takes a couple of tries to get it right. I've done a few now. I'm pretty good at it now but the first one I did wasn't so hot! Just finding the right glue was a big challenge. Fender used hide glue...starts out as crystals then you heat it up into a stinky semi liquid. It cools and dries fairly quickly.

I have a drummer friend that did cabinetry & wood covering for a living once upon a time. He's recovered my Fender 75 before. It's just tolex.
