Dave is a good guy and very passionate about his pickups.

What did you buy?

Ahhh, so you know the man & his products !

And here i am, thinking no one knows this Pick Up-GOD !

I am well impressed with Daves personal attention that he puts into every client. He worked with me for more than two weeks (sometimes up to 6 e-mail per day) to get what i wanted !

I got a Dirty Harry (bridge) w. some mods.
Next is probably a modified Pig90 (neck).

If it does the job for you and makes it a pleasure to play your guitar again (or for the first time), yes, $300 is a small price to pay. Even if your playing skills are humble enough that you can only get $50 worth of that $300 out of the set, it's still worth it if it makes you enjoy playing much more.

Although to me, true pickup (or any piece of gear) greatness includes the pickup throwing something extra at you, either more of some existing quality than you thought was possible or some quality you can't even describe before hearing it that you never imagined was possible out of a pickup.
