Is my HSS Stratocaster too warm or too bright?

Re: Is my HSS Stratocaster too warm or too bright?

Guys, the question is very clear :) If you grab that guitar and plug it in that amp and you wanna play RATT - Round and round, and regardless your tone preference, you found that the sound is the closes with Bass = 0, Middle = 0, Treble = 3, Presence = 3. What will that mean to you?

To me, that means you don't get along with the JB. Lots of people don't.

Either that, or you don't yet have a clue how to use your equipment.

I imagine that I could get any sound at all that I wanted with your set up (even WITH the JB).

I thought I had basically posted the same thing previously, OP has two different posts about the sound of the pickup and to me its not a matter of,pots or,caps, its the fact the upper mid hump doesnt agree with him.

I,played with his amp settings last nite using a Distortion, wow did that sou,d like a$$

It means that you have the eq at a certain point to make the tone what you want.........nothing more or less can be said.

It seems like you cannot understand that we can only guess what is going on. There are too many variables to make assumptions.
We don't have your room, your ears, your individual guitar, particular amp setup with tubes and speakers/cab etc etc.

This demo came to mind when you said you have a maple neck!
These are Dimarzio Norton's in both guitars - about halfway through th clip is when he starts the overdriven demos - you can here how lively the maple necks are - its like the sound it out of control - bouncing around
