Is one of these jazzmaster pickups not an antiquity?

I bought some second hand jazzmaster antiquities (bought separately) a while ago and just now got round to fitting them. But they appear to be so different that I'm thinking that one of them isn't the real deal.

Here's the neck:

Impedance 6.37. The black wire is positive.

And the bridge:

Impedance 8.98. The black wire is negative.

The fact that the pickups are different polarities suggests they're not even from the same manufacturer.

I'm thinking the bridge is a Duncan ant and the neck isn't. Can anyone confirm or deny?

The grey bobbin pickup in the lower photograph is definitely American-made. Could be SD, could be Fender American Vintage Re-Issue series.

The black bobbin pickup with the plastic insulated wiring would not look out of place in an Asian or Mexican-made Jazzmaster lookalike. e.g. Squier Vintage Modified series, Fender MIM Classic series. That sort of thing.

The original packaging for an SD Antiquity pickup should include a little card tag. This will show handwritten DCR meter readings and a unique serial number. The same serial number should appear on a white self-adhesive label on the underside of the pickup. Unfortunately, the adhesive is not very good at gripping onto waxy surfaces.

One possible explanation for your situation is that somebody replaced a pickup and saved the original pickup in the packaging for the replacement. That person then forgot that the contents of the box no longer matched the contents.

The second possible explanation is a blatant attempt to deceive.

If you purchased through eBay, you are entitled to reject the item as misdescribed. Send the vendor photographs of both of your Jazzmaster pickups. Hopefully, an honest mistake has been made and the vendor will happily rectify the situation. If the vendor is uncooperative, use the Dispute Resolution system.
