Is Sammy Hagar a guitarist?

Re: Is Sammy Hagar a guitarist?

on the VH "live without a net" DVD I have, the oppening song "one way to rock" sammy and edward both play guitar and do some duel soloing, its pretty cool. He also plays/sings on one of the later balads (I cant remember which) while edward does the keys

Well I don't know if he plays much guitar with Chickenfoot but I sure dig their album. I'm anticipating a better second album so can't wait for it.

Sammy is a very competent guitarist, although I don't like very much his solo work.

That guitar is bangin. Then I saw the headstock. That guitar is a butterface, that's all I can say. It's like finding the perfect girl (almost). SHe has a killer body then you see her beat face.

Re: Is Sammy Hagar a guitarist?

If you took his guitar skills, and added them to his vocal skills, you still wouldn't have the talent of Dave Lee Roth.
;)

Re: Is Sammy Hagar a guitarist?

Sammy makes me want a red Baretta to this day. He might not be the best at everything but he can do it all. Write, play, and sing.

Now where is that Vid if him playing slide on the roof of that car onstage? Gonna have to search youtube.

Then the Heavy Metal soundtrack???? That movie was the only reason I ever knew who he was when I was 10yo.

Re: Is Sammy Hagar a guitarist?

He did a decent job covering Eddie's parts live on the keyboard tunes.

There is no mention of Sammy playing on the Chickenfoot CD. Why would he?

Of course, there are parts to be covered live...just like with VH.
