I tend to think of the 59 as Duncans "standard". I've got three, with possibly a fourth on its way from a forum bro. You can't have too many 59's.

The 59n gets a great clean tone at lower volumes...and it's a great pickup for those who play loud and WANT an overdriven rythym tone all of the time. Didn't Dimebag use one with the Dimebucker?
