is ther a way to clean dirty power

hey guys I am soon going to be heading out to gig again soon and I have a question. some of the local bars have pre 70's wiring without a ground. I have the same wiring in my house and it drove me crazy till I found it that it was all due to my receptacles not having a ground wire. to remedy this I ran a dedicated ground wire to the receptacle my amp plugs to, and now my gain channels are quite and sound wonderful. cant really do this when gigging out and about in town. do ya'll have any ideas on how I can get a good ground? I have a power conditioner which works great for cleaning a dirty signal, but doesn't do anything for ground problems. I have thought of trying a UPS but didn't know if this would work. My Carvin X100b and Marshall JVM work fine without a ground they just are noisy especially on high gain channels. at worst I guess I can turn the gain control down to help tame the static and hum. thanks for any help ya'll may have to offer

My philosophy is this: if the outlet isn't wired properly, I don't play. Take an outlet tester and show the owner that things aren't up to code. Tell him his drunk brother-in-law shouldn't be hired to do any more wiring in the place as that's probably why things got screwed up in the first place.

I once was hired and found all three stage outlets all wired incorrectly in different ways! I saved the gig with a very long extension cord to a good outlet. Things got corrected and next time they were up to code.

I thought that the power conditioner might have helped.......but if there isn't a ground about its pretty hard to invent one I think. Maybe arriving at the venue with a long star picket and a sledgehammer:dunno:

Ebtech makes great devices for eliminating hum/buzz induced by any number of issues.

In USA and Canada, don't play without safe electrical connections...

Here in the far East - all wiring is 220V without the same grounding scheme of US and Canada.... But it works, without noise and fancy earthing / ground wiring! Go figure

this

the green loop on top goes under the screw that holds the cover on
creates a ground

and the image is the link to Amazon

Re: is ther a way to clean dirty power

Grounding is a safety measure and actually makes circuits more prone to interference than a supply without it.
