Is there a "Gibson Classic" humbucker other than the '57 Classic?

I am looking to trade a Duncan '59 humbucker and someone locally had what he said is a "Gibson Classic". I'm wondering if this is the '57 Classic or if it could be something else. Anyone know?

Thanks

Do you know which one would say just Gibson Classic on the bottom? That's what he told me it says.

back in the mid 80's, the pickups loaded in Les Paul Customs and the semi/hollow body Gibsons were "Gibson Classics". They were the PAF's, as compared to the 498/490 sets in the Les Paul Standards.

In the early 90's, those same Gibsons were loaded with '57 Classics. I don't know if they renamed the same pickup, or they tweaked it a little, but those were still the Alnico II PAF's as compared tp the Alnico V 490/498 sets

Well, he has this "Gibson Classic" and a Burstbucker 3. I want a pickup that will, like the Duncan 59, be good for warm blues and rock tones. Not sure which of the 2 would be my best bet...

will you use it in the bridge or neck?

if the bridge then the bb3 isnt a bad choice

In the bridge. The reason I'm trading my Duncan '59 is because it's a neck pickup... I need a bridge.
