Is there any bridge pickup out there that's perfect?

I can't stop debating on a new bridge pickup for my Agile double cut, so I've come here to ask the people who may know more about these pickups than myself. I'm in a hardcore/metal band and need something that can cut through, can easily achieve pinch harmonics, has nice low end to it, and aggressive.

Anything out there that fits this description?

Every bridge pickup is perfect...for someone. :p

Something tells me you'll be getting a lot of CC recommendations...

Duncan Dimebucker? (Dimebag Darrell's signature pickup) Duncan Distortion? Duncan Invader? I'd try the Dimebucker first.

I have the Dimebucker and it just doesn't suit me right. It doesn't really have any bite to it. Sounds too scooped for my guitar.

Thanks so far, though!

Keep them coming!

I'd probably recommend the Custom.

I'd go for the Duncan Distortion. I actually have the same Agile DC2500 that you have and I have a JB with smaller ceramic in the bridge and it screams! That pickup is closest to the Duncan Distortion by the way, only difference is the DD has a thicker ceramic magnet. This paired with a Pearly Gates bridge model for the neck slot is perfect!

So the Custom and the Distortion seem to be the two I have to choose between.

Which one is more dynamic in means of harmonics and not too shrill?

Just to beat TheOdie to it: The perfect bridge pickup is the JB! :laugh2:

While the JB actually wouldn't be a bad pickup, I'd say one of the pups from the Custom series (Custom, CC, C5) would be right up your alley.

BUMP

It's still a debate between the SH-5 Custom and the SH-6 Distortion.

For Vintage/Classic tones... the Alnico 59/Custom Hybrid

For Modern/Progressive tones... the Alnico JB/Custom Hybrid
