Is there more to a good sounding cab than just the speakers it contains?

Re: Is there more to a good sounding cab than just the speakers it contains?

I guess solid vs ply should have at least some difference...

I see a framus 212 cab which is half the price of a marshall one. (both ply of the same thickness and same speakers)

What should I make of that? (or similar exaples)

Maybe marshall was not a good example due to the "brand name price addition", but you get my point...

Again ... one man's opinion ... sturdy well built cab ... birch ply is OK ... name doesn't matter ... put the money in the speakers ... that's the way I'd go. Not wanting to argue ... I know many think the other way ... that's OK.

I get your point exactly ...
