Is there such a pedal?

A pedal that basically reverses what I play? Like in Castles Made of Sand and Serrana....of course not that I play 1-2-3 and it comes out 3-2-1 but rather that the note comes out backwards. Like a slow attack/compressor/etc pedal that reverses the way the notes come out of the speaker.

Thanks,

Re: Is there such a pedal?

my digitech digital delay has a setting that does that, its pretty cool. You can make it so it compresses it, slow it way down, do whatever.

Re: Is there such a pedal?

im pretty sure the boomerang does what you are asking for, if im understanding you correctly of course

Re: Is there such a pedal?

...or try a delay pedal that has a reverse mode (like the boss DD-7).

Set the delay to reverse mode.

Set the reverse delay volume level high, delay time short, and feedback/repeat level low.

Re: Is there such a pedal?

The slow gear isn't a "reverse" pedal...

It does automatic volume swells. Not quite the same...

Get a delay with a reverse function... that combined with a slow gear or Pigtronix attack sustain (has a swell mode) is probably what you want.

Tricky stuff to play though... the beat is moved... 1 is the 3 of the previous bar!

Re: Is there such a pedal?

My Boss GigaDelay has a real cool reverse function that I use occasionally. :D

Re: Is there such a pedal?

Boss Slow Gear, or there's a Guyatone version. Or the BYOC Lazy Sprocket.

Slow Gear does not reverse, it only acts as a volume pedal, that opens the "guitar vol" (from '0' to fully open) after the string got strung.
GREAT pedal to use w the EHX POG to get those uber cool analog organ tones ! In fact, * I * am looking for one right now !
Behringer does make a clone, fwiw.

Re: Is there such a pedal?

Yep they got it right when they said I wasn't asking for a volume swell effect.

Re: Is there such a pedal?

The Boss delay does backwards better, but I think a more refined envelope-sensitive volume control algorithm is what most of us would like to see.

Definitely a delay pedal with reverse setting, then. And you could even put a second delay pedal with a normal echo after the reversed pedal for an even crazier sound.

Re: Is there such a pedal?

Lots of delays have reverse delay. You'd want one with a really short delay time available so its almost instantaneous. ANd set it 100% wet.

Re: Is there such a pedal?

My POD X3L will do it.

I'm still waiting for this pedal to arrive:
